Membership

Any full time peace officer from a municipal police department, State of Iowa Regent Peace Officers, Iowa Department of Public Safety or the Iowa DOT Law Enforcement Division is eligible for membership in the ISPA.  An annual fee of $50 for active members and $35 for retired members, is all that is needed to become a part of Iowa's largest association of law enforcement professionals.

Any municipal police department, subunit of the Department of Public Safety or the Iowa DOT Law Enforcement Division may form a local association and apply for recognition as such to the ISPA. Local associations with three or more members may send delegates to the Iowa State Police Association's Annual Conference.

All members that retire in good standing may continue their membership in the ISPA for as long as they wish. Retired members continue to enjoy the same benefits as active members.
