Jerry Fitzgerald is a former state Representative in Iowa and Democratic House Majority Leader who established this firm in 1985. Maggie Smith-Fitzgerald has over 17 years of lobbying experience and has led many successful efforts on behalf of a wide range of clients. Matt Fitzgerald possesses five years in the Iowa lobby and over 14 years of grassroots organization experience. Jeff Smith, who is in his third year with Fitzgerald, Smith & Associates, is also a former state Representative in Iowa who served as a Republican Assistant Majority Leader. Following his legislative role, he spent two years as the President/CEO of the Iowa Taxpayers Association, a nonpartisan tax policy association promoting sound fiscal policy to the Iowa State legislature.
