Ralph Eugene Gray, age 76, passed away December 15,2014.

Ralph was born September 14, 1938, in Malvern, Iowa, to Frank and Lula (Lee) Gray and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. Ralph was united in marriage to Kathryn (Kelp) on September 15, 1961, and this union daughters, Brenda, Debra and Lisa were born. Ralph served this community as a Council Bluffs Police Officer for over 26 years, retiring in 1993. His memberships include Southside Christian Church, Police Benevolent Association, the Iowa Chief's and Police Officers, and Iowa State Police Association.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ernie Gray and his wife, Florence; brother-in-law, Don Perry.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Kathryn Gray; daughters, Brenda Gray, of Gladstone, Mo., Debra Gray and Lisa Gray, all of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Kenneth, James and Sierra; sister, Janey Perry; brother, Corwyn and wife, Donna Gray, all of Council Bluffs; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation Wednesday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services Thursday, 11 a.m., all at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at Southside Christian Church. Honor guard will be provided by the Council Bluffs Police Honor Guard.
