Roger I. Peterson

June 3, 1940 - November 23, 2018

Roger I. Peterson, age 78, of Hollister, Missouri, formerly of Council Bluffs, passed away November 23, 2018 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. 

Roger was born June 3, 1940 in Council Bluffs to the late John I. and Esther (Lloyd) Peterson. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1958. Roger married Georgia Miller on July 18, 1959. They were blessed with three children. Roger served on the Council Bluffs Police Department for 25 years, retiring as a captain. 

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brother, David Peterson and sister, Janice Peterson. 

Roger is survived by his wife of 59 years, Georgia Peterson of Hollister, Missouri; son, Raymond (Jacque) Peterson of Council Bluffs; daughters, Gail (Greg) Lampros of Sherwood, Oregon, Jackie (Peter) Hornig of Omaha and 4 grandchildren.
