Jeffrey P. Gowen

February 5, 1966 - February 10, 2024

Jeffrey Paul Gowen, was born on February 5, 1966 to Bruce and Janice Gowen in Des Moines, Iowa.

He graduated from Saydel High School in May 1984. Jeff became a DMPO, graduating January 22, 1990 from the police academy. He retired in June 2019. Jeff enjoyed life to the fullest by traveling and spending time with family. He’ll be missed by us forever.

Jeff is survived by his dad, Bruce Gowen; mom, Janice Wilson; sister, Jolene (Marshall) Barkema; brother, Brian (Jessica) Gowen; nieces, Summer, Winter, Lilly, Emma and Tegan and nephew, Calvin. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides of his family; nephew, Zachary (or as uncle Jeff called him “Pookie”) Barkema – who was waiting for him with open arms. Jeff give Zachary a hug from me! We love you more than you know and miss you so much all ready.

Family to have a graveside service at Glendale Cemetery on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.
